The Osaka Castle Illuminage 2026-27 edition is scheduled to open in early November 2026 and run through roughly early February 2027. The committee has not yet published the exact start and end dates (expected in late October announcements), so the window above matches both last year's pattern and multiple hotel-package pages already selling 2026-27 inclusions.
What is new this edition is that the illumination has been formally expanded into the 'Osaka Illumination Tourist Spot Series,' linking the castle grounds display to themed light setups at Tsutenkaku Tower and the Dotonbori riverside - essentially turning three separate Osaka icons into one connected night route.
