修二會是每年3月1日至14日在奈良東大寺二月堂舉行的法會。每晚都會在二月堂的舞台上揮動大型火把,稱為「御松明」,並於3月13日凌晨1點30分左右進行「取水」儀式。東大寺的年度活動介紹中記載,此法會於752年在二月堂開始舉行。
