佛生會又稱花祭，於4月8日在東大寺慶祝釋迦牟尼誕辰。依東大寺年中行事頁面介紹，大佛殿約在8點至9點舉行法會，之後參拜者可在大佛殿前設置的花御堂，以甜茶澆灌誕生佛像。寺方標示甜茶澆灌可進行到17點。
