松焚祭在當地稱為どんど祭,每年從1月14日日落到15日清晨在大崎八幡宮舉行。新年的松飾、注連繩與神札等在神火中焚燒,部分參拜者還會身著輕便衣物參拜,稱為裸參。這項活動被仙台市指定為無形民俗文化財,日本政府觀光局(JNTO)2025年的活動月曆標示為16:00開始。
