太宰府天滿宮位於太宰府市，從西鐵福岡（天神）站搭西鐵電車約35分鐘，於菅原道真公忌日的2月25日舉行梅花祭，神職人員會把梅花插在帽冠上。境內有約200個品種、6,000棵梅樹。神木飛梅位於本殿右側，神社表示每年春天最先開花，其他梅樹依序接著綻放。
