How the Mint Bureau walk works
The Sakura no Toori Nuke — 'cherry blossom passage' — opens to the public for roughly one week each April, usually mid-month, after the standard bloom. The walk is strictly one-way (north entrance to south exit), free, and crowded on weekends but surprisingly manageable on weekday mornings.
