About this festival
Toyama's haunting wind festival in the small hillside town of Yatsuo. Dancers in deep straw hats move silently through cobbled lantern-lit streets to mournful kokyu strings. Considered one of Japan's most beautiful festivals by locals â almost no foreign tourists.
