💡 Date Masamune (the one-eyed dragon) founded Sendai. His mausoleum reproduces the brilliant Momoyama-period style. Cedar-lined approach is meditative.

💡 260+ pine-covered islets dotting the bay. Cruise boats run hourly. Combine with Zuiganji Temple (zen + lakeside cave temples).
