この祭りについて
初天神梅花祭は、大阪天満宮で1月24日・25日の9時から17時まで行われます。1月25日は菅原道真公が流罪となった日にあたり、その御霊を慰めるために梅の枝をお供えすることから梅花祭の名があります。年の最初の月次の命日にあたるため、初天神と呼ばれます。
