この祭りについて
太宰府天満宮では、1月7日に鷽替え神事と鬼すべ神事が続けて行われます。鷽替え神事は18時から天神ひろばで行われ、参拝者が暗闇の中で木彫りの鷽を交換し合い、木鷽の中には金鷽が含まれているとされます。続く鬼すべ神事では氏子約300人が役を担って鬼をいぶし出し、21時ごろに積まれた松葉とわらに斎火が点火されます。
