Japan's longest-running German-style Christmas market opens in just under four weeks - this year's edition stretches to 36 days.
The Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse Christmas Market 2026 - running its 16th edition - is officially set for Friday November 20 through Friday December 25, 2026. That is a full 36 days, a few more than last season, and places opening weekend before the US Thanksgiving rush.
This is Japan's longest-running German-style Christmas market and still the one most imitated: Gluhwein, hot wine, stollen, Baumkuchen, roasted sausages, and about 50 wooden-booth stalls arranged around a 10-meter tree and a 300,000-LED entry tunnel.
