Kamakura Matsuri (Kamakura Festival)

Kamakura Matsuri is a week-long spring festival centred on Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine, with events at other locations around the town. According to the Japan National Tourism Organization, it opens with Shizuka no Mai, a dance based on Lady Shizuka, and closes with a yabusame horseback archery tournament.
