Shirakawa-go Day Trip 2027: Complete Guide to the UNESCO Gassho Village

Shirakawa-go is 114 thatched-roof gassho-zukuri farmhouses — some 300 years old — in a Gifu alpine valley that gets 2 metres of snow each winter. UNESCO 1995.
